CHAD UMBEL
Co-Owner & Founder / Director of Rope Access Operations
Chad Umbel is the Co- Founder and Co- Owner of RIG Rope Access. He began his career in construction as a laborer for a brick layer in Youngstown Ohio back in 1995. Shortly after, he obtained his first AWS Welding Certifications and began working as a structural welder. Chad began working in Las Vegas as a high steel rigger and rope access technician in Las Vegas Nevada in 2004. Quickly realizing that the standards for safety and quality were something that he felt lacking in the company’s he worked for, he began working towards gaining an IRATA Certification. After many years working in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry as an IRATA Level 3 Construction Superintendent, he took it upon himself to become the Co-Founder of RIG Rope Access in 2015. Chad currently serves as the Director of Rope Access Operations at RIG. He has been an IRATA Level 3 since 2009 and an AWS Certified Welder since 2002.
